Who we are
The Wahlman Natural History Museum is an emerging cultural institution being thoughtfully developed in Northern California with a clear purpose: to make natural history accessible, engaging, and meaningful to the community it serves.
Founded by a husband-and-wife team with professional backgrounds in museum studies, environmental science, scientific illustration, exhibit design, and organizational leadership, the museum is being built from the ground up with intention, integrity, and the utmost care. Our work is rooted in a deep respect and passion for science, education, and the power of well-designed interpretation to transform how people understand the natural world.
At the heart of our vision is a simple but ambitious goal: to bridge the gap between complex scientific knowledge and everyday curiosity. Through carefully crafted exhibits, accurate visual storytelling, and thoughtful design, we aim to translate fossils, specimens, and natural history research into experiences that are both intellectually rigorous and visually compelling.
We are currently in the planning and development phase and are grateful for the growing support, interest, and conversations taking place as this museum begins to take shape. The Wahlman Natural History Museum is a work in progress… but one guided by passion, professionalism, and a shared belief that science belongs to everyone.
